Sarah Kollé

The Dutch-Swiss soprano Sarah Kollé was a member of the Youth Choir at Zurich Opera House from 2009 to 2011 and has performed in various productions. In 2011 she won 1st prize with distinction in the final of the Swiss Youth Music Competition. From 2011 to 2014 she studied at the Zurich University of the Arts with Prof. Jane Thorner-Mengedoht, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree with distinction. Sarah Kollé is very committed to contemporary music, so in 2012/13 and 2014 she attended masterclasses for vocal techniques in new music with Sarah Sun, during which she performed a staged version of Récitation Nr.11 pour voix seule (Aperghis) and Sequenza 3 (Berio). In 2018, she participated in the Darmstadt Summer Courses for New Music as part of the Studio Stimme, where she worked with Donatienne Michel-Densac. From 2014-16 she was a member of the Swiss Opera Studio. Her roles include Serpina(La serva padrona, Pergolesi), Despina(Cosi fan tutte, Mozart), Emmeline(The Swiss Family, Weigl), Lucy(The Telephone, Menotti), Morgana (Alcina, Handel). In the 2015/16 season she made her debut at Theater Biel/Solothurn in the role of Oberto(Alcina,Handel). In 2016/17 she sang Woglinde (Das Rheingold, Wagner) in a studio version, an operetta concert with the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra and Bachianas Brasileiras No.5 at the Kurt-Weill Festival. In June 2017 she performed the role of Sie (Minibar, Daigger) with the young Norddeutsche Philarmonie. Since then Sesto (Giulio Cesare, Händel) a.o. at Theater Dessau and Nordhausen (2019) and Hanne(Die Jahreszeiten, Haydn). 2019 among others Pamina/1.Dame (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), Mozart Requiem and Les Illuminations by Britten. Sarah Kollé was a finalist at the 30th Dostal Operetta Competition in Vienna in 2016 and has attended master classes with Edda Moser, Peter Berne (bel canto), Regina Werner-Dietrich and Valérie Guillorit. In 2018 Sarah Kollé completed her Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig with Prof. Caroline Stein and continues her studies there as a master class student. She is a scholarship holder of the DOMS Foundation and the Ruth and Ernst Burkhalter Foundation.
