Our young festival, Prangins Baroque, is dedicated to building bridges between promising young talents and renowned musicians, making the rehearsal process visible and accessible to the public, and offering all concerts and workshops free of charge.

Prangins Baroque is also deeply committed to sharing our art with younger audiences, presenting a dedicated children's show every year. This year’s production features students from a local class in Prangins. Through text, movement, and dance, they will recount the ancient myth of Apollo and Daphne with poetry and imagination. Drawn from the first book of Ovid's Metamorphoses, it is a story of passionate and unrequited love... Apollo sought to use his power to win Daphne’s love. Despite her repeated refusals, Apollo pursued her until the final embrace. To escape him, she transformed into an impenetrable laurel tree…

The themes explored resonate deeply with contemporary issues: mockery and bullying, forgiveness or revenge, and mutual consent. In a contemporary, rhythmic, and expressive staging, we bridge the gap to universal subjects, allowing students to connect an artistic work with questions that touch their own lives.

MUSICAL PROGRAM: Dance pieces by great Baroque composers such as Handel, Lully, Colasse, Corrette, and Marais.
