Biography
Esteban La Rotta is one of Canada’s leading lutenists, highly sought after as a soloist and continuo player. He holds a doctorate in performance from Montreal and specialized in early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. A master of various early plucked instruments, he regularly collaborates with renowned ensembles like Les Violons du Roy and Pallade Musica. He has performed at major international festivals, broadcasted on CBC and BBC, and recorded for labels such as Atma, Passacaille, and Recercare.
