Léo Spitz

Biography

Léo Spitz began playing the cello at the age of six. In 2014, he joined the class of Xavier Phillips at the Lausanne University of Music, and in 2019 he continued his studies with Christophe Coin at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, where he obtained a Master of Arts.
Performing internationally, Léo took part in the 2017 Pacific Music Festival in Japan under the direction of Valery Gergiev, and travelled to Bhutan as part of a collaboration with the Lausanne Opera. Passionate about chamber music, he has been a member of the Ensemble Osmose since its founding in 2012.
Alongside his chamber music activities, Léo began studying music pedagogy in 2021 at Paris IV University.
