Margit Jassó

Biography

Margit Jassó is a passionate harpsichordist and early music specialist born on May 7, 2000, in Budapest, Hungary. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Harpsichord Performance at the Haute École de Musique de Genève under the guidance of Béatrice Martin, a program for which she was awarded the prestigious Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship (ESKAS). She previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Harpsichord from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, studying with eminent professors including Florian Birsak, Andreas Gilger, and Wolfgang Kogert.

In 2024, Margit Jassó performed in Turin, Alba, and Cuneo as a member of the Montis Regalis Youth Orchestra. In January 2025, she appeared as a soloist at Geneva's Victoria Hall alongside Enrico Gatti. Throughout her career, she has performed regularly in Salzburg, Budapest, and Geneva, collaborating with renowned orchestras such as the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra and the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

A rising star of her generation, Margit Jassó has also refined her artistry in masterclasses with legendary figures of the baroque scene, including Frédérick Haas, Korneel Bernolet, and György Vashegyi.
