Biography
British violinist Ilana Ledermann studies baroque and modern violin with Kati Debretzeni at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, and freelances in London and the Netherlands. Before turning to the violin, she completed bachelor's and master's degrees in History, specialising in political thought in seventeenth-century Jacobean England, and later qualified and worked as a children's social worker. She decided to pursue the violin professionally with the support of mentors including Lucy Russell.
