mThese two evenings entitled Le Miroir des Cœurs feature young international artists alongside renowned artists. Various excerpts from French cantatas, instrumental pieces and spoken dialogues are brought together in the form of a small play. Two dancers join the musicians and contribute to a more intense and more integrative expression of French Baroque music.
Gathered around a Salon – or its modern equivalent, a large living room – young people , all as beautiful, spicy as they are funny, meet and open their hearts, all differently constituted. Little by little, their passions and feelings attract and repel each other, creating bonds and enmities. In the closed and intimate environment of the Salon, the laws that govern hearts are revealed. It is through their exchanges, musical and other artistic forms, that the characters become the mirrors of each other's emotions. With a little luck, they will also serve as a mirror in which the public will see their own hearts reflected...
