A Total Baroque Immersion

Registrations for the 7th edition of Prangins Baroque are open until May 15, 2026.

Sign up now for seven days of immersion in the English baroque music of Henry Purcell. This week will culminate in a semi-staged performance of Purcell's masterpiece "Dido & Aeneas" under the direction of our artistic team.

Who is this edition for?

To young professional musicians and advanced students (conservatories and HEM).

  • Singers: all voice types.
  • Instrumentalists: baroque violin, baroque viola, baroque cello, theorbo and harpsichord.

Age limit: 30 years.

Program of the week

The selected musicians will work on:

  • Technical and stylistic aspects of the repertoire.
  • The balance between body, instrument, and music.
  • Renaissance and Baroque dances.
  • Stage presence and dramatic expression.

Application File

Your application must include:

  • Required audio and/or video links
    • Instrumentalists: 2 contrasting pieces by 17th-century composers of your choice.
    • Singers: an aria from "Dido and Aeneas" and a song by Henry Purcell, preferably with the recitative.
  • Personal Documents Name, CV, high-resolution photo, and a short biography (max 200 words).
  • Registration Fee The fee is 45 CHF. (If selected, participation is free. Lunch is included, and host family accommodation can be requested).
