After graduating his Master’s Degree in Violin and Historical Performance in Bucharest, Iulian Turicianu won an audition for a tutti violinist position in the Aarhus Symfoniorkester in Denmark.

During this time he was invited to play with some of the most representative Danish baroque ensembles, like BaroqueAros, Randers Kammerorkester, and had the opportunity to perform with Lars Ulrik Mortensen, harpsichordist in the Concerto de Copenhagen ensemble.

After his contract in the orchestra ended, Iulian decided to move to London, to pursue his passion for baroque music by working with Catherine Martin, teacher at the Royal College of Music, and to also be a part of the dynamic and diverse musical environment that this city has to offer. Since moving to London, he’s performed with many different ensembles and orchestras across London like Eboracum Baroque, Zimmerman Band, Ensemble OrQuesta, Musica Poetica, Bellot Ensemble.

Iulian Turicianu is also open to more nonconformist set ups, like being a part of the Queer Georgian Society Social Season, performing with Les Bougies Baroques in venues that combine the drag ball scene with baroque music. Other recent highlights include performing a concerto by G. P. Telemann as a soloist with the Vanbrugh Ensemble.
