Stéphanie Brochard
Chorégraphie et danse
Dancer Stéphanie Brochard moves between contemporary and early dance, building bridges between these dance forms. Trained in France and Canada, she enriches her approach to movement with a theatrical dimension, inspired by her time at the École internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
In 2008, she joined the Sursaut dance company, specializing in contemporary dance for young audiences, where she worked as a dancer, artistic assistant, and choreographer. She also developed numerous workshops in schools, sharing her art with young spectators. In 2015, she created for the company the show Moi au Carré, affirming her affinity for dance that blends poetry and theatricality.
A specialist in Baroque and Renaissance dance, she collaborates with early music ensembles and performs at renowned festivals such as the Boston Early Music Festival and Festival Montréal Baroque. Since 2018, she has co-directed Les Jardins Chorégraphiques, a creation company where she develops a unique choreographic dialogue between historical and contemporary dance, integrating musicians as full partners in the artistic process.
Curious and committed, Stéphanie Brochard offers audiences sensitive and accessible experiences, where dance conveys emotions, stories, and resonances.
